Buy A Soldering Iron

The WLC 100 is basically a standard 40watt soldering iron connected to a light dimmer. There is NO feedback from the tip to the heater. The temperature is “controlled” by the ambient air temperature when not heating your work or by how big the work piece is if in contact with that. Bigger joints equals lower temperatures… This is a great value for the money but is really only suitable for beginning hobbyists. Any serious hobbyist should seriously consider one of the soldering

stations that actually provides temperature feedback like Weller WESD51 Soldering Station or the Hakko 936 ESD Soldering Station.
